CitiFX Wire... We saw a fair amount of EURUSD selling after the release of the revised US Q2 data. Our flow has a 55% bias in favor of the downside, which is a little stretched. However, the bulk of the supply has come from bank names, so it is hard to read too much into what has gone through. We have also seen net selling from leveraged and real-money accounts, but to a lesser extent. EURUSD is now 1.3248.

TD Securities - EUR/USD in trouble

The EUR/USD is under pressure this morning with safe haven flows and the Fed-tapering theme continuing to benefit the USD, suggests the TD Securities Team.

Higher German unemployment was the only notable fundamental development overnight, and did not help the EUR’s cause, but the flood toward the USD had already seen EUR/USD break below the 1.33 handle earlier on.

“Short-term German-US spreads also continued to widen for a fourth consecutive day, corroborating pressure on the FX spot rate. Looking at the historical relationship of the rate spread and the spot rate over the past two years, a move to 1.30 for EUR/USD would not be out of line.”

“On the charts however, the 1.3190/3200 area is likely to provide decent support in the near-term.”

Euro suffers largest loss since May

Soft German employment and low inflation along with good growth in US GDP are punishing EUR/USD today. The pair is now down 110 pips on the day to 1.3226. It’s the worst one-day loss since a 115 pip drop on May 2.

The August lows of 1.3206 and 1.2990 are major support and the pair has jumped from tests of these levels in the past. The stronger demand is said to be in the 1.3200/05 area with sell stops below.

Flow models point to US dollar strength to close out the month
Barclays and RBC released reports on FX month-end portfolio rebalancing flows and both point to USD strength.

Leveraged names continued with EUR selling as we went into the New York session, but ACB demand and talk of solid Middle East bids from 1.3210 to 1.32 capped the downside for now

An ACB was also noted as active buyer of GBP/USD; keeping stops sub-1.5480 intact

Sterling managed to stay resilient against USD strength on positive cross flows

Leveraged players bought USD/JPY, but the pair ran into supply from exporters at 98.50 and buy stops in good size above remain untouched

Japanese importers have raised their bids to 98.00 and 97.80

Corporate buyers seen in AUD/USD, but specs were better sellers

Solid bids from 0.89 down to 0.8880, including domestic demand, with sizeable stops in the mix; offers rebuilding at 0.8950 and 0.8980

Decent stops were cleared through 0.9305 in USD/CHF with offers now lined up ahead of 0.9335 resistance; stops above

Swiss bank noted buyer of EUR/CHF

Many expected month-end demand for EUR/GBP, but real money and corporate accounts were sellers

Nomura - EUR/JPY About To Complete A Bull Triangle: Levels & Targets

The RSI range in EUR/JPY is typical of triangle consolidations, notes Nomura.

"In this case the coil is following a sharp uptrend and is expected to break to the topside in the coming week(s). The target for the breakout is 140.03. This cross is has been trading in textbook fashion as the 5-wave pattern preceding this pause offered textbook symmetry. Once triangle resistance at 132.25 is breached we expect a strong follow-through," Nomura clarifies.

So, where are the levels and targets to watch for over the coming sessions?

"S/t, Wave-E is underway marking the final stage of this consolidation. The first target for this leg is 129.48 where wave-E = wave-C*.618; the second target is the triangle uptrend which comes in to play near 128.90. For now prices are in a small wave-b range in an a-b-c decline," Nomura projects.

وعليكم السلام يالغالي اسف على التأخير يا اخي , اليورو نظره سلبيه وفنيا المفروض له هدف في الايام القادمه 3090 واقل تقريبا لكن بما ان الاوضاع السياسيه ساخنه لانعلم ما سيحدث الاسبوع القادم , واما بالنسبة لصفقاتك لا اعلم مدى تحمل حسابك للصفقات لكن بكل الاحوال الافضل وضع استوبات الان حتى لو بخسارة اليوم لان احسن مما تحصل مفاجئات اكبر لا سامح الله ,والله يحمي الجميع ان شاء الله .
