أجرى زوج الجنيه الإسترليني مقابل الدولار محاولة لاختراق مستوى المقاومة الفرعي الموضح صباحاً عند 1.6540 إلا أن السعر عاد للتداول من جديد دون هذا المستوى مع الارتكاز على مستوى 1.6490 . لا زلنا نعتقد بأن فرص تحقيق الارتفاع اللحظي المتوقع صباحاً قائمةً وننتظر تأكيد بإغلاق أربع ساعات فوق مستوى 1.6540 لتسهيل مهمة الزوج في الوصول إلى الهدف الأول المنتظر عند 1.6685 . تحقيق هذه التوقعات يتطلب ثبات مستوى 1.6320 بشكل أساسي

مستويات التداول لهذا اليوم قد تكون بين مستوى الدعم 1.6155 ومستوى المقاومة 1.6740

الاتجاه العام صاعد نحو الأعلى بثبات مستوى 1.4840 والأهداف عند 1.7100

GBP/USD slumps to test 1.6390 on risk aversion
Cable is falling at strong pace the last hours on risk aversion on bad news
from US confidence consumer. GBP/USD has fallen 115 pips during the American session from 1.6505 to break 1.6450, trade below 1.6400 and test 1.6390 support in the last hour.

Currently pair is trading around 1.6405/15, posting 0.45% daily gains from opening price action.

Consumer confidence has deteriorated to 46.6 in July, down from 49.e in Jun and 54.8 in May, according to the latest report by the U.S. Conference Board. July's reading was lower than the market forecasts of a 48.2 reading.

James Chen, Chief analyst at FX Solutions, comments: "Price action on GBP/USD has taken the rough formation of a cup-and-handle pattern. This is a long-term pattern that consists of a large “U”-shaped rounded bottom with a “handle” consolidation on the right-hand side of the pattern that is angled slightly to the downside. In this type of pattern, the event to watch for would be any strong breakout to the upside of the handle. Currently, price is consolidating just below the upper border of the handle. Any strong upside breakout above this border, that goes on to break the pattern high resistance of 1.6740, should be a substantially bullish sign for the pair. In the event of a further extension of the handle consolidation, dynamic downside support currently resides around the level of the uptrend support line extending from the early March low."

The estimated rate return to close resistance range levels has been confirmed, but the parity of both parties did not permit to determine priority direction of rate chart. At the moment OsMA trend indicator marked relative bullish activity rise that together with Ichimoku cloud support gives grounds to the priority of buyers’ direction of planning of trading operations for today. It is rather possible that the pair will achieve 1,6600 level and we would expect the retest of channel line «2» upper border, where it is recommended to evaluate the development of the activity of both parties in accordance with the charts of shorter time interval. As for sales, on condition of the formation of topping signals the targets will be 1,6500/20 and (or) further break-out variant up to 1,6310/40, 1,6280/1,6300. We would advise to be careful, because while testing of upper border of channel may happen false break-out. On condition of formation of confirmative signals the targets will be 1,6640/60, 1,6700/20.
