EURUSD

The pair trades quietly ahead of ECB's Interest Rate Decision later today, at 12:45 GMT, which is expected to remain at 1%. First support is formed into the 1.4335/50 region by both the previous yearly top set on July and an upward trend channel's upper band - easily noticed on the daily charts. As long as the euro holds gains above 1.4335/50, the upside will remain under pressure and extended gains should target 1.4620 and 1.4700 within the coming days. Intra-day sentiment is neutral at the time of this writing due to the weak market activity but large move are possible later today. Current quote is 1.4402 @06:10 GMT

Support levels: 1.4335/50, 1.4230/50 and 1.4180
Resistance levels: 1.4445/50, 1.4500 and 1.4620

AUDUSD

The Aussie dollar trades comfortably around .8435, near recent top at .8470. Two important support levels are seen at .8385 then a bit lower, at .8330. Intra-day studies are slightly bullish and the short-term bullish structure is strong. .8690/00 is the next objective - formed by a rising trend line on the monthly charts, started on 2001. Above that line, the long term trend will be re-established. Current quote is .8432 @06:10 GMT

EURCHF

Upside is under pressure as the euro tries to overcome the 1.5300 resistance at the time of this writing. Above that, next objective is 1.5350 and 1.5380. Upside is likely to remain favored for now and potential pullbacks will face support at 1.5265/75 and 1.5300. Both intra-day and daily studies are bullish. Current quote is 1.5303 @06:10 GMT

EUR/GBP Daily Chart





The euros to pounds currency pair continues to tiptoe lower as the rate slides towards the 0.84 price point where the current support level lies waiting. With the 9 day moving average now crossing below the 40 day moving average this is adding to the bearish tone and should we see a breach of the 0.84 level in due course then this will signal a much deeper move even down as far as 0.80 in the medium term, so plenty of trading opportunities in this pair. With the release of the BOE interest rate decision, just announced, where rates were kept on hold, this has now provided an excellent opportunity to enter sell orders for a longer term trend lower. Very shortly we will also have the ECB rate decision and statement which again should bring some much needed volatility to the pair.

GBP/USD Current price: 1.6857


After BOE decide to increase QE, Gbp fell quickly to the 50% of the weekly Fibo measured from 2.0150 to the 1.3500 lows. Falling stocks are keeping the pair under pressure, and seems likely correction will extend close to key 1.6740 zone. Hourly indicators remain bearish thus a bit exhausted. Bigger time frames are also supporting the bearish bias.
Support levels: 1.6810 1.6770 1.6740
Resistance levels: 1.6900 1.6940 1.6980

USD/CHF Current price: 1.0658


Slightly bullish, 1.0660 zone keeps holding the upside. Indicators have turned slightly bullish yet 200 EMA in the hourly seems to be capping the upside for now. Clear break above will send as to test the 1.0700 level. If above, pair will find next strong resistance close to 1.0770.
Support levels: 1.0600 1.0580 1.0550

Resistance levels: 1.0660 1.0700 1.0740

EUR/USD Current price: 1.4386


Despite ECB and Trichet, nothing changed: pair remains flat, trapped in a small and tight range between 1.4350/1.4450. Technically seems slightly bearish thus we need to see a strong break of 1.4350 level to consider a bearish movement in here. As usually these days, stocks mood will lead the way.

Above previous strong resistance now turned into support 95.40 level, pair has recoup some bullish momentum thus previous week high around 95.90 continues be the key level to consider for further rises. Indicators in the hourly, point for some downside corrections, while bigger time frames remain strongly bullish.

Resistance levels: 95.90 96.30 96.65
