When we can use used to?
متى نستخدم used to ؟

We can use used to when we had specific habit or something happened regularly in the past, but no longer happen.
يعني نستخدمها لما يكون عندنا عادة كنا نعملها بالماضي او شي متعودين نعمله بس الأن لم نعد نعمله

Example:

I used to play tennis a lot, but I don't play very often now.
أنا اعتدت ان ألعب تنس أو كان من عادتي ألعب تنس لكن الأن لا ألعب .

David used to spend a lot of money on clothes. These days he can't afford it.

Do you go to the cinema much? Not now, but I used to .

* Notice:

The verb which comes after used to should be in the infinitive form
الفعل اللي يأتي بعد used to لابد أن يكون مجرد .

We also use used to for things that were true, but are not true any more
يعني أشياء كانت بالماضي شيء والأن تغيرت لشيء ثاني .

Example:

This building is now a furniture shop. It used to be a cinema.
هذا المبنى الأن محل للأثاث . كان مكان للسينما .

I used to think Mark was unfriendly, but now I realize he is a very nice person

The normal question form is did.... used to?

Example:

Did you use to eat a lot of sweets when you were a child?

The negative form is didn't use to...

Example:
-------------
I didn't use to like him or I used not to like him
