As a follow-up to the Rambus announcement this morning with NEC, traders should note its significance with respect to DDR2. Initial sellside feedback has been somewhat positive in lieu of the co getting its second license in DDR2. By announcing the agreement with NEC, it shows the co is gaining traction in the DDR2 space. Briefing.com note: The co reports its earnings today after the close, which for the most part, should be a nonevent, given the co's preannouncement on March 21. The stock is trading at $14.50 in premarket.
