Dear Client,
Regulatory changes in the UK
In 2013 there will be a change to the way that financial services are regulated in the UK. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) will be replaced by two new regulatory bodies, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).We will remain fully authorised and regulated but, as of 1 April, will fall under the jurisdiction of the FCA.
There will be no change to the service that we offer our clients and it will have minimal impact on how we conduct our business, with much of the existing FSA rules being transferred to the new authorities.
Importantly, we will still be obligated to keep your funds in a client bank account separate from our own monies and you will still be eligible to claim up to £50,000 in compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if, in the unlikely event, we are unable to meet our obligations.
The only difference you may notice will be to the statutory disclosure on our correspondence and documentation as well as any reference to the FSA being updated to reflect the name of our new regulator. We will be amending our website and documents over the coming weeks but have up to 6 months to complete this.
Kind regards
