Other than that the advance from 1.7048 looks to be in late stages of development so any break below critical support located at 1.7618-62 will announce that a potentially significant wave B top was already in place. Even if the daily (or weekly) chart alternate is what is transpiring in this market at intermediate degree, a normal correction of the last 4 weeks advance would challenge 1.7498-1.7329 before cable moves towards 1.80-1.83 early next year. However, it makes strategic sense to assume that a top at 1.78-1.79 will pertain to a move towards 1.62-1.67 in the first part of 2006.

Preferred: Alternate: Buy dips, Go with upside breakouts Cited resistance acted as a barrier during today's spike high and cable moved to new lows. Fibonacci relationships among declining legs of similar degree have now been reached and the near-term momentum pattern shows signs of exhaustion which means that cable has to hold below 1.7610-32 to keep its chances to reach 1.7520-40 intact. Whether a bottom has already formed at today's 1.7568 low or one will form at slightly lower levels, the next important development for GBP$ will be at least a multi-day rally back to the 1.7811 highs, if not a strong multi-week push all the way up to 1.7902-72, 1.8096-1.8255.

In the daily time frame, we have to operate a similar adjustment to the one brought today in EUR$. كان هذا التحليل يرى 7260 في خلال اسبوعين كما ذكر لي احد الاخوة

It is hard to get a firm handle on such an illiquid currency at this special time of the year but suffice is to say that 1.7040-1.7140 should defend the downside on at least a temporary basis and should inspire cable to mount at least a multi-day test of 1.7377-1.7458-1.7538 but ideally a sharp wave c rally towards 1.7800, 1.7900-38. 1.7263 and yesterday’s 1.7401 high are progressively more critical near-term resistances.

There is no change in the way I label the price action in the daily time frame and I want to remind you again that everything we think we are seeing till sometimes next week should be adjusted for the seasonality implications,,,,,

The overreaction selling experienced in thin late December trading seems to have set the stage for the upside reversal we’ve been talking about in the last days of 2005. Five waves up appear to unfold from the 1.7126 low and they need a 4-5 to go before we can expect a more meaningful pullback (which we will probably use as a buying opportunity sometimes next week). Allow for a consolidation above / test of 1.7314-1.7350 before cable moves closer to / deeper within the 1.7468-1.7549 range. Even if the move up from 1.7126 ends up being a three wave affair, I believe that cable has already bottomed and that the least we can expect in the coming weeks is a rally towards 1.7664-1.7811. Preferred: Alternate: Play the range for now Like EURO, Cable did waste absolutely no time in making it towards the next upside objectives. It appears to me, however, that the internal 3rd of 3rd wave from 1.7126 is complete so we can now allow for a consolidation above 1.7516-1.7452 before Cable proceeds higher towards 1.7768 early next week. You will keep in mind that the larger trend is up, we are in a 3rd wave advance and the back-up resistance above the critical 1.7618 is not until 1.7664-86 (as of now). Perhaps the best thing would be to wait for a pullback to buy cheap sterlings or if you try to play this small 4th wave, trade lightly.
