    USD/JPY should ratchet up to 111.60 - 111.75; EUR/JPY set for 138.00, even 141.00 further out
    .
    .
    Euro/US Dollar
    (1.2302) - 06:53 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
EUR/USD - the euro has been higher (gone up to 1.2315), but probably will weaken ahead of the U.S. consumer confidence index data later today. But it looks like 1.2240 has defined a new support level for the single currency, so allow for a test of support at that level. Nonetheless, expectations are unchanged -- we expect a new recovery thereafter, and the upmove may go beyond 1.2360, which effectively reinstates the rally towards 1.2500. The slightly longer-term positive outlook remains in effect still -- the rally should eventually make it to 1.2500. But we re-emphasize the longer-term view -- there is no real reason for bulls to celebrate until 1.2530 hypothetical resistance is taken out. This level is shaping up to be the major resistance in the current investment cycle. Take out 1,2530 top in turn, and you get a run-up to the 1.2925 high before year-end. Failure to do so consigns the currency pair to a long sideways sojourn at 1.2500 - 1.2000 range.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 1.2301. Keep stop-loss at 1.2190. Keep profit target at 1.2500.

    .
    .
    British Pound/US Dollar
    (1.8110) - 06:53 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
GBP/USD - Cable was the "big mover" overnight (considering that most majors stayed flat vs the greenback) and has been to 1.8120 without making the slight pullback we were looking for. Technicals remain positive as new highs elicit calls for further gains, and fundamentals remain fairly positive. The break of 1.8090 may trigger a new series of advances, the next target being 1.8370. As we said earlier, there is no big barrier between 1.8050 and 1.8500.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought GBP at 1.8007. Move stop-loss from 1.7925 to 1.8020. Keep profit target at 1.8370.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Japanese Yen
    (111.32) - 06:56 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
USD/JPY - no change in view -- the currency pair breaks out from a brief consolidation, and may yet proceed to 111.60 - 111.75 from here. Our downside projections have to be abandoned temporarily until we get a handle on this new uptrend.
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 110.12. Keep stop-loss at 111.75. Keep profit target at 107.00.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Swiss Franc
    (1.2615) - 06:58 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
USD/CHF - the currency may yet rise further to 1.2660 later in the day to complete the countertrend rally. The longer-term negative view kicks in thereafter -- the downtrend should resume. The currency pair may still be bound for 1.2380 next. Expect further declines to 1.2200 further out.
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 1.2573. Keep stop-loss at 1.2730. Keep profit target at 1.2200.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Canadian Dollar
    (1.2725) - 06:57 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
USD/CAD -- the currency pair found temporary support at 1.2713 and may rise back to 1.2780 - 1.2800 -- no change in view. The downtrend resumes thereafter. Momentum projections suggests that it might head towards the 1.2685 trough at least -- we are now extending the downside target area towards 1.2500.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    Australian Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.7150) - 06:58 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
AUD/USD - the rally did resume from .7100, but allow still for another go at the support level again. Support will probably be confirmed at .7100, and a rally towards .7300 - .7400 goes back on track further out. The Aussie continues to benefit from its high-yield status and should lead the charge against the Dollar, and will alternate with the Kiwi for market leadership in the next few weeks.
    Recommendations:
Bought AUD at 0.6909, 0.6962 and 0.6990. Move stop-loss from 0.7050 to 0.7070. Keep profit target at 0.7225.
    .
    .
    NZ Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.6672) - 06:57 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
NZD/USD - the Kiwi did pullback further to .6645 and has been stronger since then. Allow for a dip back to .6640 from here, but our short-term view is unchanged. The Kiwi should eventually go over the .6691 top, rise beyond the .6750 top, then extend gains towards the .7100 high for the year. Long Kiwi remains the best candidate for in the medium-term, from both technical and fundamental perspective.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought NZD at 0.6464 to 0.6611 (4 observations). Keep stop-loss at 0.6610. Keep profit target at 0.7000.
    .
    .
    Euro/Japanese Yen
    (136.92) - 07:00 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
EUR/JPY - the cross has gone to as high as 137.00 and consolidates. But the rally should extend to 138.00 later in the week. We still think that the uptrend has potential to go to 141.00, but that has to wait until the 138.00 resistance has been taken care of.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 133.91 and 134.02. Move stop-loss from 136.00 to 136.30. Move profit target from 138.00 to 141.00.
    .
    .
    Euro/Swiss Franc
    (1.5519) - 07:01 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
EUR/CHF - the cross did rise and is currently probing the 1.551o top, and we see no technical reasons why the uptrend will stop there. The cross should push through to 1.5550 and higher -- perhaps even to 1.5600. But the rally should float further, and we are now eyeing the 1.5866 top as possible target.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 1.5416. Keep stop-loss at 1.5450. Keep profit target at 1.5600.
    .
    .
    Euro/British Pound
    (0.6790) - 07:03 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
EUR/GBP - further declines to .6770 may be in the cards later in the week -- and recent developments suggests that this may be happening. The uptrend may resume from there and should eventually push through .6856, which may trigger a rally to .7000.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    British Pound/Japanese Yen
    (201.63) - 07:04 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
GBP/JPY - the uptrend did accelerate after taking out the 200.00 hypothetical resistance. The cross should rise further, and is now making a beeline for the 205.00 target.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought GBP at 196.66 and 196.75. Move stop-loss from 199.80 to 200.75. Keep profit target at 205.00.
    .
    .
    British Pound/Swiss Franc
    (2.2849) - 07:04 GMT, Sep 28, 2004
GBP/CHF - the cross has been to 2.2842 and threatens to rise towards the 2.3000 target. If 2.3000 is taken out -- and we believe there is a good chance that the cross will eventually rise beyond it -- the next target may be 2.3400.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.

:shades_sm
    .
    .
    USD/JPY

AUD/USD finds support above .7125, may rise towards .7300 - .7400 further out on high-yield status
    .
    .
    Euro/US Dollar
    (1.2320) - 07:03 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
EUR/USD - the U.S. consumer sentiment index release was a non-event -- although the single currency fell slightly in its aftermath, but kept within striking distance of the 1.2365 resistance area, which is now well-defined. It also looks like 1.2280 has defined the short-term support -- a wayward Q2 GDP data may cause a retest of the area. Nonetheless, expect recovery further out, and the upmove should eventually go beyond 1.2360, which effectively reinstates the rally towards 1.2500.
    (1.8101) - 07:03 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
GBP/USD - Cable has been to as high as 1.8160, restoring some of the ground lost in earlier setbacks. The currency pair may not make a small pullback to 1.8050 area. Going forward. however, technicals remain positive as new highs elicit calls for further gains, and fundamentals remain fairly positive. A new series of advances is in process, the next target being 1.8375. As we said earlier, there is no big barrier between 1.8050 and 1.8500.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought GBP at 1.8007. Keep stop-loss at 1.8070. Keep profit target at 1.8500.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Japanese Yen
    (111.01) - 07:04 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
USD/JPY - the currency pair has been weaker since the 111.71 top, and has fallen to 111.00 since -- no change in the outlook. If it takes out that level, then there is a fair chance that the rally has topped out. Meanwhile. our downside projections have to be abandoned temporarily until we get a handle on this new uptrend.
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 110.12. Keep stop-loss at 111.75. Keep profit target at 107.00.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Swiss Franc
    (1.2596) - 07:05 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
USD/CHF - the currency stays in a narrow range, and the odds for a final uptick to 1.2660 is fading out fast. It may still do it, so keeps an eye out for it, at least until 1.2550 is taken out on the downside. The longer-term negative view kicks in thereafter -- the downtrend should resume. The currency pair may still be bound for 1.2380 next. Expect further declines to 1.2200 further out.
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 1.2573. Keep stop-loss at 1.2710. Keep profit target at 1.2200.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Canadian Dollar
    (1.2716) - 07:05 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
USD/CAD -- the currency pair rose back to 1.2770, but fell since then. The downtrend may have gone back on track. Momentum projections suggests that it might head towards the 1.2685 trough at least -- we are now extending the downside target area towards 1.2500.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    Australian Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.7169) - 07:06 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
AUD/USD - the rally has gone to as high as .7191, but may pullback to .7150/40. However, a rally towards .7300 - .7400 goes back on track further out. The Aussie continues to benefit from its high-yield status and should lead the charge against the Dollar, and will alternate with the Kiwi for market leadership in the next few weeks.

    .
    .
    NZ Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.6695) - 07:06 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
NZD/USD - The Kiwi found resistance at ,6710, and may pull back to .6670/60 later in the day. But a rally to the .6750 top should be on its way shortly. The currency pair should then extend gains towards the .7100 high of the year. Long Kiwi remains the best candidate for in the medium-term, from both technical and fundamental perspective.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought NZD at 0.6464 to 0.6611 (4 observations). Keep stop-loss at 0.6630. Keep profit target at 0.7000.
    .
    .
    Euro/Japanese Yen
    (136.79) - 07:06 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
EUR/JPY - the cross has gone to as high as 137.54 and consolidates somewhat -- it may find support at 136.50. But the rally should extend beyond 138.00 from there. We still think that the uptrend has potential to go to 141.00, but that has to wait until the 138.00 resistance has been taken out.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 133.91 and 134.02. Keep stop-loss at 136.30. Keep profit target at 141.00.
    .
    .
    Euro/Swiss Franc
    (1.5522) - 07:07 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
    - EUR/CHF - the cross has been to 1.5527, but may pullback to 1.5505 area -- we see no technical reasons why the uptrend will not resume from there. The cross should thereafter push through to 1.5550 and higher -- perhaps even to 1.5700.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 1.5416. Keep stop-loss at 1.5475. Keep profit target at 1.5600.
    .
    .
    Euro/British Pound
    (0.6802) - 07:09 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
EUR/GBP - a small consolidation pattern between .6820 and .6785 may bring along a test of .6815 high, but the scenario is unchanged -- further declines to .6770 may be in the cards later in the week. The uptrend may resume from there and should eventually push through .6856, which may trigger a rally to .7000.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.

GBP/JPY - the cross has been to as high as 202.48 and pulls back, but should find support at 200.50 area. The cross should rise further thereafter, to 203.70 then corrects back a little probably to 202.00. But further out, the cross makes a beeline for the 205.00 target.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought GBP at 196.66 and 196.75. Move stop-loss from 200.75 to 200.00. Keep profit target at 205.00.
    .
    .
    British Pound/Swiss Franc
    (2.2819) - 07:11 GMT, Sep 29, 2004
GBP/CHF - the cross has been to 2.2880 and may settle back towards 2.2750. But support firm up soon, as the general view still threatens a rise towards the 2.3000 target. If 2.3000 is taken out -- and we believe there is a good chance that the cross will eventually rise beyond it -- the next target may be 2.3400.

    Stand aside.

    British Pound/US Dollar

! :confused_ :48_48: :cry_smile :teeth_smi

EUR/USD heads for the 1.2530 resistance; prospects for a rally to 1.2900 have improved
    .
    .
    Euro/US Dollar
    (1.2400) - 13:36 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
EUR/USD - the single currency climbed aggressively against the dollar, despite the lacklustre turnout in euro-zone confidence measures in September. Many traders attribute the jump to technical trading; we see it as a consequence of U.S. bond prices trading higher. And finally, the single currency went through the well defined 1.2365 resistance area. The recovery should continue further out, and the upmove should eventually go towards 1.2500 -- the slightly longer-term positive outlook remains in effect still.
Move stop-loss from 1.2190 to 1.2350. Keep profit target at 1.2500.
    .
    .
    British Pound/US Dollar
    (1.8061) - 13:37 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
GBP/USD - Cable did fall to 1.7960 -- not quite the 1.7930 low we were looking for -- but good enough as the currency pair jumped to 1.8080. The currency should extend gains towards the 1.8160 top. This will likely coincide with a EUR/USD test of 1.2530 resisatnce, so keep an eye out for EUR/USD instead -- Cable will follow its lead.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Japanese Yen
    (110.49) - 13:38 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
USD/JPY - no change in view -- there was this small uptick to 111.25 but the downtrend may have resumed. Expect further decline to 110.20 - 110.00. Further out, the rally may have topped, but we will defer further downside analysis for a day or s
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 110.12. Move stop-loss from 111.75 to 111.10. Keep profit target at 107.00.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Swiss Franc
    (1.2501) - 13:38 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
USD/CHF - the sell-off resumed with a vengeance and has been to as low as 1.2485 -- taking out the important 1.2550 support. The longer-term negative view has kicked in -- the downtrend should accelerate further. The currency pair may should be bound for 1.2380 next. Expect further declines to 1.2200 further out.
    .
    Recommendations:
Sold USD at 1.2573. Move stop-loss from 1.2710 to 1.2565. Keep profit target at 1.2200.
    .
    .
    US Dollar/Canadian Dollar
    (1.2695) - 13:39 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
USD/CAD -- the downtrend resumed on a leisurely pace after meeting resistance at 1.2740. The currency has made a new low, and momentum projections suggests further declines further out -- we are now extending the downside target area towards 1.2500.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    Australian Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.7213) - 13:40 GMT, Sep 30, 2004 A
AUD/USD - the currency pair rallied through resistance at .7190, putting the uptrend back on track. A rally towards .7300 - .7400 is in progress. The Aussie continues to benefit from its high-yield status and should lead the charge against the Dollar, and will alternate with the Kiwi for market leadership in the next few weeks.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought AUD at 0.6909, 0.6962 and 0.6990. Move stop-loss from 0.7070 to 0.7175. Move profit target from 0.7225 to 0.7300.
    .
    .

    NZ Dollar/US Dollar
    (0.6749) - 13:40 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
NZD/USD - rally to the .6750 top is on its way. The currency pair should then extend gains towards the .7100 high of the year. Long Kiwi remains the best candidate for in the medium-term, from both technical and fundamental perspective.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought NZD at 0.6464 to 0.6611 (4 observations). Move stop-loss from 0.6630 to 0.6725. Keep profit target at 0.7000.
    .
    .
    Euro/Japanese Yen
    (137.07) - 13:42 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
EUR/JPY - no change in view -- the cross may have found support at 136.32. The rally should extend beyond 138.00 from here. We still think that the uptrend has potential to go to 141.00, but that has to wait until the 138.00 resistance has been taken out
    .
    Recommendations:
    Buy EUR at 136.30. Stop-loss: 135.30. Profit target: 141.00.
    .
    .
    Euro/Swiss Franc
    (1.5510) - 13:42 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
EUR/CHF - there may be this pullback to 1.5505 - 1.5500 again -- the uptrend should resume from there. The cross should push through to 1.5550 and higher -- perhaps even to 1.5700 from here.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 1.5416. Move stop-loss from 1.5475 to 1.5490. Keep profit target at 1.5600.
    .
    .
    Euro/British Pound
    (0.6863) - 13:42 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
EUR/GBP - the cross has been to .6876, out of the range, and should find support at .6850 in the event of a pullback. The uptrend resumes shortly and should eventually push through .6867 top, which may trigger a rally to .7000.
    .
    Recommendations:
Bought EUR at 0.6839. Move stop-loss from 0.6805 to 0.6825. Keep profit target at 0.7000.
    .
    .
    British Pound/Japanese Yen
    (199.65) - 13:43 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
GBP/JPY - the cross failed to find it at 200.00 either and we are still looking for a bottom -- expect further declines to 198.50. Then we wait and see.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside.
    .
    .
    British Pound/Swiss Franc
    (2.2590) - 13:43 GMT, Sep 30, 2004
GBP/CHF - the cross settle back lower than expected and has been to 2.2560. It may fall further to 2.2520. Wait and see is indicated here as well.
    .
    Recommendations:
    Stand aside
